Swim England 2019 synchro training squad announced

Swim England has announced its 2019 synchronised swimming training squad. The squad includes 22 athletes, five of whom are new to the programme, and will form the 2019 senior and junior Great Britain teams. Throughout the season, the athletes will travel to world series events, the Senior European Cup and the Junior European Championships. There are 6 Reading Royals’ swimmers in the squads – Abi Taylor, Alyssa Basinger, Cerys Larsen, Daisy Gunn, Isobel Blinkhorn and Torrie Usher. Full announcement HERE


Synchro youngsters chosen for Age Group and Development squads

Twenty-one young synchronised swimmers have been selected for the Swim England Age Group and Development squads. They were chosen from previous results and recent trials held after the Swim England Synchronised Swimming National Age Group Championships in Gloucester. Karen Thorpe, Swim England synchro manager, said that the performances of the athletes attending the trials was improving every year making selection extremely tough. Gray leads England’s juniors to synchro success in Croatia

                          MAIDENHEAD’S Mimi Gray was the stand-out performer for England’s Synchro u13s/14s team at the Primorje Cup in Croatia last month, clinching individual and team gold medals. The 14-year-old Furze Platt Senior School pupil competed in Rjeka after her selection to the England junior squad and wowed the judges with a routine performed to Turandot’s Nessun Dorma. English age group squad star with medal haul at Primorje Cup

                      Swim England Swim England Synchro’s Age Group squad landed medals in all four events with an impressive campaign at the 2017 Primorje Cup in Croatia. The team scored 68.7331 for their free routine to finish on 130.0609 overall. January 8, 2016 Swimmers have been named on the Age Group and Development Synchro Squads 2016 following performances at the ASA National Age Group Synchronised Swimming Championships in December last year.
